Update
It’s been too long. School has been crazy. Seems as though my short road to graduation has been a rough trip. It’s hard to be a full-time student attempting to graduate while running two businesses and trying to maintain a social and family life. Whew. It’s exhausting just thinking about it.
Anyway I have major updates. No. I haven’t graduated yet but I’m in the home stretch, 4 weeks. I’ll be posting in rejoice once that happens I’m sure. My senior show is opening in two days and I think everything’s going to turn out ok after weeks of stress. I’ll be posting photos from the reception once I have them. Lock and Load Creative’s identity is finished and I am really happy with the outcome. Note: I don’t have a fax that number is totally made up.
I am now the in-house photographer at The City Club of a Houma. I really like what I’m doing there. The owner understands my vision and completely trusts my judgment, which is all I could ever ask for out of a client. This venue has been bringing major bands to perform in my hometown and I cannot wait to see what this opportunity has in store. I am already working on a cool project that I think the people that attend the shows will love. Once that project is up and running I’ll be posting about it here. Enjoy a couple of the Hotshots from the City Club.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello World!
Tiffany Meeks of Hotshot Photography here and I welcome you to my blog. Since this is my first post let me tell you a little about myself. I am a graphic designer and photographer from Southeast Louisiana. I just turned 23 on the 3rd of August and in December I will be graduating with a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Art), it has been a long journey and I can’t wait to start the next chapter in my life. That chapter will probably start with kicking off Hotshot’s sister business that will highlight me as a graphic designer and visual problem solver.
August has been an exciting time for Hotshot. At the beginning of August I started my internship with a local magazine. The first day of my graphic design internship Hotshot was offered a job as a freelancer. I learned a lot while I was there and I was fortunate to do graphic design and photography work for the magazine’s September issue. It was a really great experience; I can’t wait to see the finished product.
On the 8th of August I opened up Hotshot’s digital art collection on etsy.com (the place to buy and sell all handmade things) here is the link to Hotshots store www.hotshotphotography.etsy.com. I have already made my first sale! The person that opened my eyes to the etsy world told me most new shops wait months for their first sale. Thanks, for all your help Amanda! Check out her Esty shop at www.luckybluebirdart.etsy.com.
Over the weekend I had a my first shoot with my new equipment. It was a total success and my client has the most beautiful mademoiselle that will be turning one on September 3. Here are a couple of the hotshots from that shoot.
Today I had my last first day of school. This semester promises to be just as crazy and hectic as always, 21 hours what was I thinking? Yes, it was probably along the lines of, I MUST graduate!
Please send me your thoughts and leave me a comment.
